New Speedier Macbook Pro release on the way?

It was only in February that the new Apple MacBook Pro line was introduced to rave reviews and we had not been expecting to write about another refresh so soon. However it is being widely reported that new MacBook Pros are on the way and could be with us as early as next week.

Speculation began last week when supplies of the current MacBook Pros became constrained and also new MacBook Pro part numbers came to light. If you were hoping for a big difference cosmetically though it seems you will be disappointed as the internal part numbers suggest a very similar design. Now we hear from Mark Gurman over on 9to5Mac that shipments are already making their way to some regions and that there could be a release at some point between Tuesday and Thursday next week.
The pricing for the new MacBook Pros is to remain the same as those currently available so what changes should we expect to see for the same prices and what sounds like the same design. Apple Bitch tells more on this and suggests there will be some updates to the Intel Sandy Bridge processors involved. Previously an update to Bluetooth 4.0 has already been rumored though there’s no more news on this yet. Apple Bitch also makes the point that integrated LTE for the MacBook Pro would be a popular move forward but that doesn’t seem likely this time around.
Over on MacRumors, Arnold Kim tells of the rumored new MacBook Pros and how they are only expected to be a minor update but will be faster. He also gives details of the new Sandy Bridge processors and which ones could be used in the new MacBook Pros so check that out at the link for more. Meanwhile Joe Minihane over on Electric Pig reckons that this is the perfect opportunity for Apple to do away with the disc drive on the MacBook Pro and we have to agree that there are many of us who never use the disc drive.
So it looks like new MacBook Pros are indeed on the way but maybe not a complete refresh that many would have liked to see, as it looks mainly as though it will be enhanced processors. However, if there were one other thing you could have as an addition to the next MacBook Pro what would you most like to see? Let us have your comments.
